Hector has contributed to the growth and recognition of the U.S. Hispanic marketing industry, while helping increase sales and profits for agency clients. Before founding Orcí, Hector was President CEO of DDB Mexico.
He is a founding member and first chairman of the U.S. Hispanic marketing industry’s first and most influential trade organization, the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA). He now serves as a lifetime Board Member.
Hector earned an M.A. in Economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, as well as a B.A. in International Relations from USC. He is a native of Sonora, Mexico.
He is a respected expert on Latino marketing and culture and has been featured on CNN, NPR, in the New York Times, the Los Angeles and the PBS Special “Brown Is the New Green”.
Hector has been recognized as a community and industry leader, and has served on the boards of the AAF, AHAA and the New America Alliance. He currently serves on the boards of the Hispanic Communications Network, the Academy for the Arts and Enterprise (LAAAE), and the Southern California Children’s Bureau.
